The Book Theif (337-448)

Summary:
           Right now people are preparing for bomb attacks, since this book takes place around the time of World War Two. Liesel goes with Hans to go paint people's windows black, in this case soldiers won't barge into their homes if they think that no one is in it. For this job, Hans is not paid with money but usually with treats or sometimes even cigarettes. In order to keep Liesel occupied, Hans trys to tell her stories or play the accordion although Liesel is more interested in how Hans mixes the paint. One day after painting a wealthy home, they invite Hans and Liesel in for some champagne. During this time, Rudy is actually training for the Hilter Youth carnival by running for his events, although Liesel is not participating in any of events though. During this time, Death is reading all of this memory for Liesel's book she will write the the future.

Reaction:
          I believe that Liesel created a really cool way in order to save the moment. She did not want to never drink it again because she disliked like, in fact she like it a lot. Although in the beautiful moment she drank this with Hans, she believes that if she ever drinked it again then he moment with Hans would never be as memorable as it was. I personally thought this was very unique way to do something and this is very smart for Liesel to do.
