Lisel starts to right her own book, every night she would go to her basement just write, Rosa would have to make treats in order to get her to go to bed. One night when Liesel finishes, a bombing started to happen; Liesel and her family had to go into a bomb shelter. Everyone was safe for this bombing but there was a next bombing but everyone was notified too late. Ten plans raided the area, first killing neighbors such as the Mullers, then the Fraus, then the Fielders, and finally the Steiners (Rudy's home); everyone was sleeping when they died. Lastly, the bombs go to the Huberman's house, killing both Rosa and Hans, but Liesel remains alive since she was editing her story in the basement. The bomb squad eventually comes and helps Liesel out, and she is deeply in shock going around looking at everyone's face seeing if their dead. She not look at Hans face but shes takes his accordion and places it next to him; she also says goodbye to Rudy by kissing him. Someone goes and comforts her as she crys, she drops her book and Death takes it. Death keeps her book for a very long time, and at this point it is starting to distinigrate, so he is telling the reader about it so he will not forget about the book.

Death says this sentence when talking describing the planes when they first invaded Liesel's neighborhood. Knowing Death, I was not very suprised that he incorperated corps into this situation. But yet it was still a "Woah!" situation for me, just look at the personification of this sentence! For me this presented a unique imagery for me, I would never picture a plane in such a way. Although this is very creative though, considering that plane's storage is in a similar area of where a human's ribcage would be.
