Animal Farm (1-28)

Summary:

          The Old Major, a pig, tells the animals how they are being treated as if they are slaves, always doing things for their own and get nothing back in return; no matter how hard they try, as soon as they are unuseful they become slaughtered. He explains to the animals that about his dream that all the animals live without humans in a utopian society, thus causing them want to rebel. They wasnt sure who such be apart of the rebellion but after a while, they are only considering anything that walks two legs to be enemy. Then they celebrate by singing the "Beast of England", which only causes them be to quieted down by Mr. Jones with his gun. A few nights later the Major dies but this did not stop them from continuing the plans. The Manor Farm grows closer calling each other conrandes now, and assign positions such as orangization to the pigs, everything was actually planned out before scheduled. When Mr. Jones was drunk, he forgot to feed the cows, and the cow became so angry that they broke out for food. Mr. Jones and and his tried to tame the cows with whips but that only made them chase the men out of the farm and therefore the animals are free from the humans.

Reaction:

          Moses, the crow, beleives that when they die they will go to sugarcane which is somewhat like a heaven for animals. This does seem kind of funny how these animals have different beleifs, like this and animalism, but it does somewhat contridict with some human beliefs as well. Such as some religions say that animals do not have souls so thats why they do not go to heaven, so it is okay for humans to animals since technically it is not sinning. Some animals are completely agasint Moses's idea, such as the pigs, who goes around trying to stop people from beleiving in. In some way, the pigs kind of remind of people with athiest beliefs.
