Chocolate: A Bittersweet Saga of Dark and Light (233-290)

Summary:
          Nutella is kind of like a chocolate verison of peanut better, kind of like a spread for bread them comes in a jar. Even though that it is made for bread, to be eaten by a sandwich, it is so good that a lot of people just eat out straight out of a jar, with something like a knife. Cecile Allegra said to Rosenblum that "The worst-kept secret in Europe is where mothers hide the Nutella from their kids." Even if she kids it, apparently nutella is so good that her kids will find it no matter what in two days. There are many variations of nutella such as Italy's, which they put more hazelnuts in it, and put in less sugar. 
          After World War Two, Europe did not have much chocolate yet but they had plenty of hazelnuts.  But this did not stop Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker, to make his own chocolate substitute with cocoa powder, vegetable oil, and cocoa butter, which is pasta gianduja also known as nutella. It became a hut, by February 1946, he was able to sell up to 660 pounds of it. Since Ferrero kept on getting more and more rich off of this stuff, he then made a newer verison called Supercrema Gianduja which is basically just a more spreadable version of nutella. It started to become so famous that Nutella started to have their own selfs in stores! Ferrero started to become so rich that  he was he was able to make his own food empire.
          2002 in Italy, there is a town called Pordenone, there was a person called il unabomber who police thought was a terriost. There was not exactly any proof except for a 35 year old college student, and provided enough evidence for the police to search il unabomer's house. Everyone was suspicious of il unabomber but it turned out the police found something else, a booby trapped jar of Nutella. In Decenver 31, 2001, the Europeans decided that to call their money something that would bring them closer, so they called it the euro, but Roseblum believes that the symbol be Nutella instead because everyone loves it more than money.

Reaction:
          I agree but at the same time I kind of do not agree. Chocolate is constantly being made everyday, even until this second, which shows that of course it not going it end. And besides, people are making billions off of this either way, so I do not think anyone would want to give this up anytime soon. But at the same time, I kind of see the chocolate ended a few years. Come on, what new chocolate bars or some kind of twist are added to the stores these days. Its still the same Hersey bar or snickers on the self since forever. There arent anything new, so could we really say that this trail is still alive?
